LJI Competes at First Tech Challenge (FTC) Competition

The LJI Robo-Panthers competed this past Saturday at Palacios High School at the First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotic competition and performed outstandingly!! There were a total of 13 teams competing at the meet, each battling in five rounds; and our Robo-Panthers finished 4th overall in the competition! This is the first year for LJI to sponsor an FTC team.

Our seven members are: Ethan D., Roman G., Daniel G., Josue R., Rylan S., Meghan S., and Samantha W. These students have worked very hard to get here, and their diligence has paid off! Our robotic sponsors, Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Brod, are very proud of these students!

A huge “thank you” goes out to our parents for supporting the team. They stepped in to help out the builders with “technical difficulties” during the competition. Also, “thank you” goes out to our two engineer Mentors, Mr. Wood and Mr. Kodje, for assisting at the meet and helping with both refereeing and inspections during the competition!
