Pick up Chromebooks for Online Instruction

Good afternoon LJI families,
I hope you are all safe, healthy, and doing well. I wanted to update you on a few things for this week:
We will offer Chromebook pick up from lockers again on Monday, March 23 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. Please enter in the front of the school. Only students can enter the building.
AR testing at home has been opened for students. Please see the attachment with instructions from our librarian, Mrs. Wood. Please email Mrs. Wood at [email protected] for more information or help with either the AR test or choosing an AR book to read.
Please remind your student to access their Google Classrooms their teachers have provided. Also, they can check The Den @ LJI classroom for announcements. If you need remote technology assistance, please call 979-730-7450.
BISD Child Nutrition is happy to provide TWO meals per day for our students that are 18 and under. See attachment for specific locations and times.
LJI teachers are making contact with all parents. This will be done the rest of this week and next week through phone calls and emails. Please expect to receive a call from a blocked number.
BISD Technology is at Brazoswood High School on Thursday and Friday to repair Chromebooks from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
With recent events, Comcast is offering 2 free months of Internet service (then $9.95/mo+tax for new customers). Check their website for more information and to find out if you are within their coverage area. Apply at https://www.internetessentials.com/covid19

LJI Panther Families,
In an effort to help our students with Remote Learning, which will begin Wednesday, March 18, we will allow students come to campus for the following: If your student did not bring their Chromebook home over the break and/or if your student would like to pick up their instrument, you can pick it up on Wednesday, March 18 from 10am-1pm. We will have a few staff and admin members on campus to assist. This time is for a QUICK PICK UP!
As a precaution, please remember the CDC guidelines: If you are ill, please stay home: People, who are mildly ill, should isolate themselves at home during their illness. Consider restricting activities outside your home, except for getting medical care. ** This applies for March 18 and moving forward. **
We miss our Panthers and look forward to when we can all be together again as a Panther family!
